A Personal Psalm
I may drown, My Lord, as the waters of travail rise and
Encompass my neck,
Lap at my chin,
And lick at my lips.
I may look helplessly around, O God, seeing the destruction of
Tectonic ripples,
Rampaging movements of land,
And furious flooding waters.
And yet I tread, Almighty Savior, with Your ever-present gifts of
Impenetrable shelter,
Titanic strength,
And the absolute courage of Faith.
I may drown, My Lord, as the waters of travail rise and
Encompass my neck,
Lap at my chin,
And lick at my lips.
I may look helplessly around, O God, seeing the destruction of
Tectonic ripples,
Rampaging movements of land,
And furious flooding waters.
And yet I tread, Almighty Savior, with Your ever-present gifts of
Impenetrable shelter,
Titanic strength,
And the absolute courage of Faith.
